Giveaway! Sweating Pink on Valentine’s Day

It has been a week since I’ve last posted. I apologize for that, but I have been trying to find the right words to adequately describe last week to all of you and my final trip to the ocularist. I’m still working on that.

To say I’m sorry and to say I love you all at once (big warm fuzzies), I’d like to offer a giveaway! Let me start off by saying this: I kind of really like Valentine’s Day. I think it’s because I was supposed to be born today but hung in there until the 18th. I love anything with hearts and especially anything PINK. And, I love to sweat. I’ll go so far as to say I even sweat pink at times.

So, Fit Approach wants to give one lucky reader a super soft Sweat Pink tank and a blindingly pink pair of shoelaces. Lucky for you, I’ll even throw in 5 sleeves of Clif Shot Bloks in Tropical Punch. I love them so much that I want to share that love.

This is my Sweat Pink tank but you could have one too.
And no, you really didn’t want to see me model this in my pasty winter white skin.
How awesomely pink are these?! They make me run faster. No, really.

But wait, what IS Fit Approach? Fit Approach is a new, hip, up and coming company that believes the word "feminine" isn’t just about pretty shoes and wearing pink. It’s about working hard, being strong, and pushing yourself to new limits while achieving above and beyond what you ever dreamed of achieving. Yes, wearing pink is part of it and you know what? It’s fun top be feminine and be able to kick some rump at the same time.

The giveaway will run from today until February 18th at 11:59 EST. Only four days? Yea, that’s a bit strange but the 18th is my birthday and instead of getting gifts it’s so much more fun to give them. The winner will be chosen at random via the random.org number generator beginning this Sunday.  To enter:

  1. Leave a comment below telling me how you push yourself in ways you’d never expect and what your ultimate running/fitness goal is.
  2. Mention this giveaway on Twitter (@sassphaltrunner) using the hashtag #sweatpink.
  3. Do both and you get 2 entries!

So simple! I can’t wait to read your responses. Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers!

  1. Awesome giveaway! I just try to go faster or go farther I guess. Finish one challenge and find another. 🙂
When I was in high school, running 5 miles seemed impossible. Now 5 miles seems short. Funny how our perspective changes!
Thanks for the chance to win, girl. Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. Pink shoelaces? I'm there!!

I never dreamed I'd be a runner but 5 yrs later here I am still a' runnin'! It's not the easiest and I deal with some issues with my "bad leg" but I push through. Even after this time I still see every race I complete as an accomplishment. =)

My long-term goal is to complete at least 1 marathon. My short-term goal is to complete a half ironman. Who knows, maybe after I complete my half ironman I may want to do a full ironman?!

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  3. I'm with Jenny, I just want to go a little farther. A half marathon used to seem like such a big deal, now i'm thinking maybe a full? Who knows. Maybe I should work on getting less slow 😉 AWESOME giveaway! love shot bloks, they're my fave fuel!

  4. I try to think of every run as a chance for me to prove what I got……hopefully this will translate over to when I race in a 10K next month!!

  5. I don't have an ultimate goal really, I just want to keep going a bit further and a bit harder. I'm taking up racing this year. I want to win your giveaway because my girlfriend would love the tank! (and I like Shot Blox)

  6. I push myself by always having a new goal or race. It keeps me motivated and always training for something. My ultimate running goal is to qualify for Boston someday. Yikes!

  7. I am pushing myself by getting up and running 5 times a week. My running buddy has suggested that we train for a marathon and I think we might do it. Ultimately, my running goal is to run further, faster and more often. 🙂

  8. Who doesn't need pink shoelaces! I push myself by sticking to my training without any running buddies. I have to hold myself accountable.

  9. Awesome Kristin and happy early birthday!

I push myself everyday doing things that I never thought I could (nor want) to do. Training for our half marathon pushed me to want to do more and I can't wait to train for our first Marathon!

My ultimate goal though is an Ironman, probably in 2014!

  10. I push myself in ways I never imagined . I never thought I could be a runner let alone run 1 mile. Hoping to complete a 1/2 marathon this year. I also hope to lose 10 more pounds to be in my goal weight.

  11. whhhat pink stuff? count me in! As far as pushing goes – 18 months ago I couldn't even call myself a runner and now i've run 2 1/2s and am training for a 3rd. And in two weeks EXACTLY, I'm registering for my first marathon just to push myself (into crazy town?) even more! woo push it!

  12. Yay pink! Back in high school, I was not the start of the cross country team. More like slacker. I used it to train for track aka much shorter distances. Never, ever did I think I'd run long distances. In fact, I believe the words, "why would I run more than 5 miles? That's insane. And probably not good for you" came out of my mouth once or twice. Well, in one week, I'll be running my first half marathon. I've run over 15 miles at a time. That definitely took some pushing. Now, my ultimate goal is to run a marathon… when I have the courage.
